ABRI AGM SCHEDULED FOR 24TH MARCH

ABRI’S Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 24th March and provides an important opportunity to hear the latest information about the industry.

The attached agenda for the AGM will focus on the impact of COVID-19 on the industry and Battery Stewardship. Please note the time 12.30pm – 3.30pm. A proxy form is also provided below.

INVITATION TO NOMINATE FOR ABRI EXECUTIVE - NOMINATIONS DUE 5TH MARCH 2021

This is also the time for members to appoint the Executive Committee and elect/re-elect the three office bearing roles of President, Vice President, and Treasurer.

2021 is shaping up to be an important year given the importance of efficiency and effectiveness in the new COVID-19 environment we all find ourselves in. Continued work on our objective to harmonise regulations that apply to storage and transport as well as increasing education and standards development in light of the progress of the Battery Stewardship Council.

The Executive Committee plays a key role in setting strategy and ensuring our work is professionally and technically on target. It is the input and expertise of our members that makes us a strong industry voice. An important consideration in your decision to re-nominate or nominate is your availability to attend quarterly Executive Committee meetings and General Meetings as well as taking action in supporting ABRIs vision and work plan. Enclosed in the nomination form below is the EXCO Roles and Responsibilities as well as an extract from the ABRI Rules.

If you would like to nominate, please complete and return the attached form to secretariat@batteryrecycling.org.au by March 5th. Feel free to give me a call if you are interested but have questions or would like to discuss our plans for the year.

ABRI MEMBER SURVEY

Members are being invited to respond to an online survey which explores the impact of COVID-19 and ABRI’s value and role. We encourage members to complete the survey to give us a big picture of how the industry is tracking.

The results will be reported at the upcoming AGM and to key decision makers.
