ABRI Guidelines for Transport: Handheld Battery Recycling

Depending on the chemistry type, there are both legal and practical requirements to ensure that they are safely transported for recycling and/or disposal. There may also be specific requirements for recyclers receiving batteries who may reject loads if they are not correctly packaged for transport. These guidelines provide an overview of transport requirements to be used for handheld batteries.
